Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Learn English Naturally Publisher (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when an authorized operator connects the App to a Facebook Page and uses it to publish approved content.
1. Scope and purpose
The App is an internal content-publishing tool. It allows an authorized operator to connect a Facebook account or Page, select or confirm a Page, and publish approved videos, captions, and related metadata to that Page. The App is not intended to collect information from people who merely view, follow, react to, comment on, or share the published Page content.
2. Information we process
Depending on the permissions granted through Facebook, the App may process:
- Basic account information made available by Meta, such as the authorized operator’s Facebook user ID, name, or profile information.
- Facebook Page information, such as Page ID, Page name, the Pages the operator is permitted to manage, and granted permission status.
- Authentication credentials, including access tokens issued by Meta, solely to authenticate authorized publishing requests.
- Publishing content and instructions, including videos, thumbnails, titles, captions, hashtags, scheduling information, and approval status.
- Publishing results and technical records, such as Facebook post or video IDs, published URLs, timestamps, API responses, and error logs.
We do not intentionally use the App to collect Facebook friends lists, private messages, payment information, precise location, or sensitive personal information.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- authenticate the authorized operator and verify Page permissions;
- publish operator-approved content to the selected Facebook Page;
- record publishing status, avoid duplicate posts, and provide published URLs;
- diagnose errors, maintain security, and operate the publishing workflow; and
- comply with applicable law and Meta’s terms and policies.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information obtained from Meta for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
4. Legal basis
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information with the authorized operator’s consent, to provide the requested publishing functionality, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the App, or as necessary to comply with legal obligations. Facebook permissions may be withdrawn at any time as described below.
5. How information is shared
We share information with Meta Platforms, Inc. when necessary to authenticate the connection and publish content to Facebook. Information may also be processed by infrastructure providers that host or operate the workflow on our behalf, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business reorganization.
Content intentionally published to a Facebook Page becomes subject to the Page’s audience settings and Meta’s own terms and privacy practices.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect access tokens and other information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Access tokens are retained only while needed to maintain the authorized Facebook connection and are deleted or rendered unusable after the connection is revoked or a valid deletion request is completed. Publishing records and technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App, or to meet legal obligations. Public Facebook posts are controlled separately through Facebook and may remain published until they are deleted from the Page.
7. Your choices
An authorized operator may:
- decline requested Facebook permissions;
- remove the App through Facebook’s settings, which stops future access through the removed authorization;
- ask us to disconnect the Page or delete App-held information; and
- request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights.
8. Data deletion instructions
To request deletion of information associated with the App, email contentapps@hotmail.com with the subject “Facebook App Data Deletion Request.” Include the Facebook Page name or Page ID connected to the App and enough information for us to verify that you are authorized to manage that Page. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
After verification, we will delete or de-identify App-held personal information and revoke or remove stored credentials, unless retention is required by law, needed for security or fraud prevention, or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We will confirm completion or explain any lawful exception. To remove an already published post, the Page administrator may also delete it directly through Facebook.
9. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than the country where the authorized operator is located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
10. Children
The App is an administrative publishing tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
11. Third-party services
The App interacts with Facebook and Meta services. Meta’s processing is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. This Privacy Policy does not control how Meta handles information on its platforms.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
